What is a Tribe?

A Tribe is a church or ministry that partners with Turn Vertical and uses our free app to deliver targeted testimonies and the Gospel to people who need to hear it most — while connecting them back to their group for discipleship.

Who should sign up?

If you lead a church or ministry and want your members sharing the Gospel through Turn Vertical, your first step is simple: sign up as a Tribe Admin. (Or hand it to someone on your team — they can run the day-to-day so you don’t have to.)

Picture this: Bev is part of your congregation, and her testimony about how she got saved after having an abortion is the kind that stops people mid-scroll. You filmed it, uploaded it — done. As pastor, you also put together a couple of Gospel explainer videos, and one that walks someone through the salvation prayer.

Sally is part of a different Tribe, hundreds of miles away. She bumps into her neighbor, Jennifer, and notices something’s wrong. Over coffee, Jennifer opens up about an abortion a year ago and the guilt she’s carried since. Sally senses the Holy Spirit nudging her. In under a minute she combines Bev’s testimony, a Gospel explainer and the salvation prayer into a single video and sends it.
“Hey Jennifer. Been thinking about our conversation today. Thought you’d find this helpful — a story from a woman named Bev talking about her life after an abortion (found it on the app my church uses). Just a couple minutes long and really positive. Let me know what you think. Sally.”
Jennifer trusts Sally, so she watches. She’s not sold on Jesus — not yet. But she’s feeling some hope. Below the video she spots Sally’s church logo and recognizes the address, just a few miles from her house. She clicks through to the website.
“Thanks, Sally. I can’t explain it, but that really touched me. I’d like to explore this some more. Are you going to be at church on Sunday? Looks like your church has a service at 10. Can I meet you there?”
By sharing that video, Sally took her connection with Jennifer to a whole new level — past the small talk, to the things that really matter. Jesus. Salvation. Healing.

Tribe Admin

Manages the Tribe profile, approves member videos, and can bulk upload testimony, Gospel explainer, or salvation prayer videos.

Tribe Member

A member of your congregation or ministry. They can upload their testimony or a Gospel explainer, and share these or others made by your Tribe or other users.

It
Works

01

Sign up to create a Tribe

Download the Turn Vertical app and create an account. Then go to your Profile — near the top you’ll see a button to ‘Create A Tribe’.

We'll review your application

Once approved, your Tribe gets full access to Tribe features. You’ll get an email confirming the upgrade, with details on where to log in.

You complete set up

Add your logo, a short description, your website URL, and upload your testimony, salvation prayer and Gospel explainer videos. Your salvation prayer becomes the default every member sees.

Your members join and create

Members download the app, join your Tribe, record videos (you review before they go live), share with friends, and grow more confident sharing their faith.

Videos are reviewed and published

Trusted Tribes: videos go live as soon as you approve them. Regular Tribes: videos also pass a Turn Vertical review first.

Tribe branding appears on every share

Your logo, description, address, contact details and website link appear below the video and on the final screen — even for testimonies from the global library.

Trusted Tribes

Trusted Tribes have a proven track record with Turn Vertical. Their videos only need the Tribe Admin’s approval before going live.

Regular Tribes

Regular Tribes don’t have that track record yet — but can earn ‘Trusted’ status once they do.
